स्वतन्त्र सञ्चार माध्यमहरुमा सेना परिचालन गरी राजा ज्ञानेन्द्रले शुरु गरेको शाही शासन नेपाली पत्रकारिता इतिहासकै कठोर कालखण्ड थियो । मिडिया माथि राज्यका तर्फबाट भएको आक्रमण थाहा पाउन हेर्नुहोस्, नेपाल पत्रकार महासंघले बनाएको यो डकुमेन्ट्री ।
२०६१ माघ १९ गते बिहान १० वजे सरकारी रेडियो र टेलिभिजनबाट शाही घोषणा प्रशारण हुनु अघि नै मुलुकभर टेलिफोन सेवा विच्छेद गरियो । सरकारी रेडियो र टेलिभिजनमा शाही घोषणा प्रशारण हुनु अघि नै स्वतन्त्र सञ्चार माध्यम सैन्य कव्जामा परिसकेका थिए । प्रधानमन्त्री शेरबहादुर देउवा प्रधानमन्त्री निवास वालुवाटारमै सेनाको कव्जामा परे । सुरक्षाकर्मीवाट उम्किएका वाहेक प्राय सबै मन्त्री थुनिए ।
। प्रमुख राजनीतिक दलका शिर्ष नेता उनीहरुकै घरमा वन्दी वनाइए । केन्द्र देखि गाउसम्म प्रजातन्त्र मानवअधिकार र स्वतन्त्रताको वकालत गर्ने राजनीतिककर्मी, मानवअधिकारवादी, कानून व्यवशायी, पत्रकार लगायत सबैलाई जेल कोचियो । समाचार मुलक बिदेशी टेलिभिजन च्यानल माथि रोक लगाइयो ।
त्यो शाही ‘कु’ पछि नेपाली मिडियाले कस्तो सेन्सरसीपको समाना गर्नु प-यो । हेर्नुहोस् डकुमेन्ट्रीमा ।
