जनआन्दोलन (२०६२–०६३) पछि दल र नेताहरुबीच आफूलाई एक से एक क्रान्तिकारी देखाउन ठूलै होडवाजी चल्यो । निरंकुश राजतन्त्र हटाउने क्रममा नेपालको एकीकरण गर्ने राजा पृथ्वीनारायण शाहको इतिहासलाई मेटाउने चेष्टा गरियो । पृथ्वी जयन्तीका अवसरमा दिइदै आएको विदा हटाइयो । इतिहास मेटाउन खोज्नेको आफ्नो अस्थित्व रहदैन । ढिलै भएपनि गणतन्त्र स्थापना भएको डेढ दशक पुग्न लाग्दा पुथ्वीनारायण शाहका वारेमा भएका गलत निर्णय सच्याउन सत्ताशिन दलहरु तयार हुनु सुखद छ ।
गणतन्त्र स्थापनापछिका प्रथम प्रधानमन्त्री पुष्पकमल दाहालकै पालामा सरकारले पृथ्वी जयन्तीका अवसरमा पुष २७ गते विदा दिने वातावरण वन्नु र दाहालले पहिलो पटक नेपाली राष्ट्रि«य पोषाक दौरा सुरुवालमा सपथ लिनु संयोग बनेको छ ।
